In 2017, Flag helped NO MORE engage global audiences in its annual week of awareness and activation. Supported by compelling spokesperson voices and inspiring visuals, NO MORE Week reached millions through traditional and social media exposure. Concise messaging under the theme ‘Louder Together’ communicated simple ways to take action to end domestic violence and sexual assault: give, talk, share and activate.
Awareness to action
We took the fourth annual NO MORE Week to a new level of visibility, by encouraging more people to donate, start conversations and host awareness events. We also helped to promote NO MORE’s corporate partners, including Jamberry, an innovative nail art company that launched an exclusive NO MORE nail design in honour of the week, and Verizon, whose partnership helped NO MORE raise over $760,000 for non-profits during March and April.
Leveraging media to make an impact
Flag created the messaging and new visual identity for NO MORE Week 2017. This informed NO MORE’s ‘how to get involved’ guide, social media graphics and a Snapchat filter that reached over 5,000 users. During the week, donors raised over $70,000 for non-profits. We also launched a #NOMOREWeek social media campaign to get more people talking about the issues, reaching more than 1 million potential users.
We also worked with NO MORE’s survivor ambassadors to share their stories with national media outlets. More than 138 million earned media impressions were generated (an 81% increase from the previous year), including news stories secured with People.com, Refinery29, NBC News and The Daily Dot. More than 300 grassroots events and fundraisers were hosted around the world.
