    The ideal candidate will be:

    • experienced in managing online (and print) communications projects
    • skilled in producing cost estimates and schedules, and managing multiple projects and deadlines to the highest standards
    • demonstrably capable of managing multi-role teams, including designers, artworkers, web developers, copywriters, proofreaders, photographers and illustrators

  • Design Director

    UK

    We are looking for a Design Director to join our team of vibrant and passionate creatives in the UK.

    The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar position in a busy creative communications agency serving multinational clients and leading brands.

    You will:

    • have an outstanding record of providing creative solutions to briefs
    • be competent in information design ‒ able to disseminate complex content for a wide range of audiences
    • work with our creative director and other design directors to ensure Flag’s output is truly outstanding
    • enjoy working with a variety of clients across multiple projects
    • lead and oversee other designers in the development process
    • identify and plan development and training for members of the creative team, providing coaching and mentoring where necessary
    • proactively look for areas to develop the design director role and relevant processes
    • represent the creative team at high-level client meetings and pitches, where appropriate, presenting ideas, concepts and work in progress.

  • Finance Director

    UK

    We are seeking an experienced, hands-on and driven finance professional to support and be part of the senior management leadership team and take charge of all aspects of the financial management of the company.

    As finance director you will work alongside the managing director and other board members to support the company’s strategic development and continued growth. You will be technically astute and be comfortable working within a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial environment, dealing with multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally. A strong personality, excellent communication skills and the ability to build solid relationships outside of finance are key for this role.

    The ideal candidate will be:

    • managing and leading a small finance team
    • supporting the managing director in all strategic matters, including input to strategic growth plans
    • supporting the business through M&A processes, including the preparation of financial models, managing external advisors and liaising with investors
    • preparation of the monthly management pack and budgets and presentation of financial performance at monthly board meetings
    • primary liaison and management of key stakeholder relationships, including investors and auditors
    • experience working in a global creative, corporate reporting, communications or PR agency would be very beneficial.

    Key requirements:

    • qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
    • experience of M&A transactions
    • experience of Excel modelling of budgets, forecasting and business opportunities.

  • Junior Creative Services Manager

    UK

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our busy creative team.

    The candidate will:

    • assist the Creative Services Manager on the day-to-day running of design and creative copy resourcing needs
    • be super organised and enjoy working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
    • be solutions focused and a great people person
    • be a go-to contact for both the creative and the account teams on design projects to ensure work is delivered on time and in scope
    • help with the daily administrative tasks, including resource and budget management, organising meetings, facilitating and overseeing project timelines
    • assist with sourcing and booking freelance resource for several creative needs, raising purchase orders and ensuring freelancers log their time against jobs
    • have an interest in all things creative or have a creative/design-based background.

To help us, we are always interested in hearing from proofreaders to support our in-house team on an ad hoc basis. All our readers work on the full range of Flag’s projects and must be able to operate effectively in a fast-paced agency environment. Excellent grammar, spelling and punctuation are essential.
