In the 13-year history of the PwC Building Public Trust Awards, no FTSE company had ever retained the Sustainability Reporting title, until Carillion did just that in 2014. So, in December 2015, when the company’s name was called out for a third consecutive year, it capped an incredible run of success for our client.
Flag has a longstanding partnership with Carillion, working closely with the sustainability team and advising them on best practice reporting since 2008.
Driving high standards
This year, we provided consultancy to ensure Carillion’s reporting was more focused on material issues, had a better balance between challenges, opportunities and achievements, and was more transparent in its coverage of risks.
To keep the company in the vanguard of reporters, we also helped Carillion to transition from the GRI’s G3.1 guidelines over the last two years. Its 2014 report was produced in accordance with the G4 guidelines at a core level.
