The last ten months have been super busy. We’ve been writing, designing and producing some outstanding reports and communications, so we thought we’d take a step back and share a few pieces of work.
First up, Ford. The report is a continuation of the Blueprint for Sustainability theme, this time with the subtitle ‘Driving change’. The design approach is based around a Ford console with a satnav-style animation – this pulls out their most material issues and directs the reader to a Map of our year. Here you can read about highlights from the past 12 months at Ford. Another big step forward was the redesign of the materiality matrix. This makes it easier to use, with fewer clicks to get to good stuff. The coming year is our 10th with Ford – and we are thrilled to be part of the team.
Next, Aviva. Their report now includes pages devoted to each business region, rather than just a Group voice. This allows those regions to focus on issues that they feel are important, and also encourages a bit of friendly competition. The site is now completely structured around material issues with a focus on people from around the business and external stakeholders. Each section begins with a photo and a quote from someone connected to that issue. This introduces the issue and gives you an idea of what Aviva is doing or planning.
Last but never least, Vodafone. This year we worked with Vodafone and their writing team to restructure the report, and it’s now based around their three most important areas of; creating sustainable societies, eco-efficiency and responsible, ethical and honest behaviour. Then we added a reporting hub; this holds all sustainability-related news, data and performance against targets. We’re particularly pleased with the strong design of this year’s report. It’s within the corporate site but that’s not restricted us – the use of great images and illustrative elements really brings the pages to life.
The next reporting season will be with us in no time and we can’t wait.
