Ford Motor Company’s 2008/09 Blueprint for Sustainability, designed and produced by Flag in partnership with copywriters BuzzWord, was named first runner-up in the latest Ceres-ACCA Sustainability Reporting Awards in North America.
The judges commented that the report:
“…addresses the fundamental challenge of sustainability and presents the company’s economic recovery plan including current progress, restructuring plans, and sustainable strategies. In addition, the report clearly connects sustainability with the business strategy by highlighting past performance, mistakes made, how the company is working to further integrate sustainability into their business model, and their approach for identifying and assessing material risks.”
This is the second time the Ford report has received recognition at the Ceres-ACCA awards, having been a co-winner with Timberland in 2008.
Flag’s creative director Jo Webb said:
“Receiving international recognition for the report is excellent for our friends at Ford, who work incredibly hard to reflect their organisation’s approach to sustainability in their report. It is also very rewarding for our team, and those at BuzzWord, who have helped to produce such a well-regarded piece of sustainability communication.”
